Robotics Laboratory This instructional manipulator-based robot assembly laboratory is focused on cobot technology. Unlike older generations of robots, “cobots” have sensors and safety features that let them detect and react to contact with humans working with them (under appropriate conditions). The lab explores the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and human-robot interaction for the development of machine learning methods that allow humanoid robots to behave in an intelligent and autonomous manner. AI-and-learning Controls Human-Robot Neural Vision The Organic Robots Laboratory (ORL) at Cornell University focuses on using organic chemistry of soft material composites for new capabilities in robots. We also seek to redefine how people view robots and their potential uses.
